As we have stated in several different reviews, Evolution Gaming never fails to amaze with the studio design and décor. As you enter the game you will see a gorgeous dealer in a red dress seated at a golden table with a velveteen dark red surface and a stunning Black and Gold Art Deco environment all around. The Lightning Baccarat game is played with 8 standard 52-card decks, and it is optimised for desktop, tablet and mobile.

Before placing bets, you need to know the values of the cards that are used in Lightning Baccarat. As mentioned, the dealer will draw cards from a shoe containing 8 shuffled decks. While some cards will have their face values, some of the others are assigned different values.

For example, Aces are ranked the lowest and carry 1 point each. Cards from 2 to 9 are valued according to their numerical face values. Kings, Queens, Jacks and 10s are all worth 0 points. The suits do not affect how the hand is formed as it is only the numerical value that is counted.

Before each deal, players are given a betting window to place their bets on the outcome of the game round. They can bet on the win of the Banker or the Player’s hand, or stake their money on a Tie. In Lightning Baccarat, a so-called Lightning fee of 20% is added to each bet.

When the Lightning Round is finished, the dealer can draw the cards and deal two initial cards to the Banker and Player. Each hand value is calculated at this point. If the value exceeds 10, only the second number is valued. For example 9+7=16, the value of the hand is 6.

If the Player or Banker obtain a hand that is worth 8 or 9, that’s natural Baccarat, and no further cards will be dealt. Otherwise, the “third card rule” is consulted to determine if there is a need for a third card for the Player and Banker.

How do the Lightning Baccarat Multipliers work?

You already might know that the lightning cards are picked randomly before the dealer starts the game. The game will choose up to five cards that can have multipliers, but that doesn’t mean five cards always have multipliers. Once the cards are displayed, each will have a multiplier value of up to 8x associated with it. If any of these cards make part of your winning hand, they’ll boost your win by that multiplier.

The lightning games by Evolution are exciting and they do have superior graphics, and we think that these might be one of the things that make these kinds of games so cool. We have to keep in mind that there are several game studios that have created live casino games and they are good. But when we are talking about the best live casino games, Evolution is the one that we will go with every single time for sure!
